And in its low, warm light he stands, like some sort of, of pagan god or deposed tyrant, staring out over the city he's sworn to, to stare out over, and it's evident, just by looking at him, that he's got some pretty heavy things on his mind. Fire me boy! Fire me boy! Fire me boy! It's really good to be human again. Well, once again my friend, we find that science is a two headed beast: on head is nice, it gives us aspirin and other modern conveniences, but the other head of science is bad... Oh beware the other head of science, Arthur, it bites! Fire me boy! Fire me boy! Fire me boy!

They say there's a woman [I saw you] Standing in the swamps She's got eyes of a tiger [and a muscle man] And a tail of a newt [to lay beside her] They're drinking apple cider [another watering hole] She don't use a stove You know she cooks with fire [won't be taken for] Breathing fire Breathing liquor [another watering hole] Stir the pot Roll the dough Form the hole Through the core [and she waits for another] Put the can in the side [victim by herself] Stop the car Decorate the house With the eyes of a newt [lady bug] And the skin [lies beside] Of an alligator [lady bug] And the toad And the raven [as we sigh] Swimmin' home, simmin' hole [receiving what's left] Swimmin' fast, swimmin' home Say your words [da da da] Say your payers [na na na] Say your last goodbye [nothing left] Goodbye [to go] Goodbye [wrong]

... the middle pyramid, I know why it's there, I know its longitude, its latitude, I know its dimensions, but... they don't make any sense. So there has to be other aspects of math, it could be a new dimension, it could be... I don't know. Not close enough to it to identify it yet. [But through your system of: let's throw every- all your assumptions out and start over and try to see through the eye...] right [...of the pyramid builders...] right [...yeah, that's an intriguing thought. What- where did that idea come up to you?] After I found all their missing constants. I thought I found about ten of them, and, um, they all work, but they're things we've never heard of, we don't use them. [Do you think that, obviously they knew base 10, you make that point in the video] Oh yeah! [...but they were also using base 3, base 12, base 60...] sure! [I mean they were very versant, they used whatever base made sense. Do you think that those constants would be more easily recognized if we weren't just in base 10, or base 2 in computer. I mean if we... if you put them in another base would they be more ordinary, and just make more sense?] Most likely... [Most likely?] I have no doubt about it. There are different sides to this matrix- the ones I just mentioned. Emerald and, um, Stonehenge and Quetzalcoatl, -these pyramids you can look at, and find the numbers, and determine just by looking at them, and integrate pi into the formula to get your answer. So there's a pi side of this thing, there's a visual side, there's another side requiring the use of the radian, and uh... [You said a radian?] They each have to have a message. [And so, you're still busy at work?] Oh yes! Holy Toledo!!!

It's going to be so hard to write. Love is the hardest thing in the world to write about. You've got to catch it through details, like the early morning sunlight hitting the gray tin of the rain spout behind Grandma's house, the ringing of a telephone that sounds like Beethoven's Pastoral, the letter scribbled on her office stationery that you carry around in your pocket because it smells like all the lilacs in Ohio.

about

Fort Hazel ad:
Two disks, over two hours, over 60 tracks, 16 page booklet with extensive liner notes. Includes anthology of all the instrumentals from the first two cassettes, previously unreleased archive recordings, and new songs. Measured by minutes or megabytes, this is our biggest release yet!

Grant Olsen introduction:
What is Lowbelly? The name brings so much to mind: The highbrowing of low pop culture, the folk hero/singer with the scar from ear to ear, the walk of an overweight hound. All of these things allow the listener an insight into this project, but nothing can quite pin an easy description. The two primary members, Jeremy Miller and Tristan Andreas, decided early on to stray from their "modern" rock roots, into hithertofore tread paths. Certainly the "guitars" of today permeate this recording, it is in the blood of these boys. But what fills them with the most joy is music itself.
What is Lowbelly? What started as a "kitchen-sink" project ended up as the technological marvel known as the compact disc that you hold in your very hands! The boys and their experimentation allowed them into the territory of the "modern primitive" with instruments that were never before known as instruments. As time marched on so did Miller and Andreas, collaborating, (sometimes unexpectedly!) with nearly everyone that walked within spitting distance of Fort Hazel.
What is Lowbelly? Relax, (if you can!) and enjoy the "fantasy" that is the band!
